The officers of Mahaveetran Company started a probe into irregularities in installing electricity poles under Dalit Vasti Sudhar Yojana.

According to details, the work of 219 electricity poles installation was undertaken at Nisarga Colony, Rajnagar, Green City, Laalmati, Samrat Ashok Society, Jetvan Housing Society which are in Bhimnagar war no 13 and have a population of 15,000 residents.

Despite this, the electricity company received requests for the electricity poles. Satish Shegaonkar made a complaint with the power company alleging that bills are being cleared without installing poles.

Taking the complaint seriously, electricity superintending engineer Bibhishan Nirmal and others visited the areas. They found 119 poles unavailable there. Satish Shegaonkar demanded that criminal cases should be lodged against those who are guilty.

Bibhishan Nirmal said that orders for the probe were issued. “We have visited the areas after receiving the complaint. Contractors said that he had installed poles. A committee would be set up to inspector the areas and count the exact number of poles. The contractor will have to show poles to the committee,” he added.
