1.25 L property owners likely to get PR card after regularisation

Aurangabad, Jan 7:

The owners of 1.25 lakh house from the different colonies of the city likely to get property registration (PR) card after the property regularisation.

The State Government decided to regularise houses constructed on 20X30 square feet land up to December 31, 2020, under Maharashtra Gunthewari Development Act.

A total of 118 colonies were found with non-regularised properties during the survey of 2005. The owners of 11,767 submitted the proposal for property regularisation with Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). Of them,7,589 propers were regularised while 3,820 were rejected because of reservation, affecting road widening.

A total of 359 cases are pending because of not attaching required documents. Around 54,000 propers were declared valid for the regularisation in the survey.

A new survey will be carried out.

Meanwhile, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) sources claimed the Government accepted their all the recommendation about property regularisation. It will send another proposal for the PR card.

The 1.25 lakh properties are 118 old (till 2005) and 54 new colonies of the city. The illegal properties will get 1.6 FSI. This means two-story buildings can be regularised while additional premium needs to be paid for more than two floors.

A property owner will have to pay an estimated Rs 1,334 for the regularisation per square meter. One square meter has 10 square feet.

House owners will have to pay Rs 80,040 for the regularisation of a house constructed on 60 square meters (600 square feet) depending on the colony''s ready reckoner rate.
