15-year-old boy ends life
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A 15-year-old boy of class IX standard committed suicide by hanging himself at his home in the Nakshatrawadi area on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased who has been identified as Sangameshwar Sanjay Wadje (Deglur, Nanded) was living at Nakshatrawadi area of the city for the past several months.
As per the information given by the Satara police, Sangameshwar was studying in the class 9th. His father was to start a refreshment stall in the Nakshatrawadi area soon. His parents went to the market to bring the necessary materials for the stall.
While leaving home, they asked their son to accompany them. However, he said that he would stay at home, they should go. After his parents left home, he went to his room and hanged himself.
His parents returned home, but Sangameshwar did not open the door. The incident came to light in the afternoon. When his father went to the neighbouring house and looked through its window, he saw Sangameshwar hanging.
With the help of neighbours, the family broke down the door and admitted Sangameshwar to Government Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Sangameshwar is the only child of his parents. A case of accidental death has been registered at Satara police station in this incident. The police are conducting further investigation.
