Aurangabad, July 11:

There is a shortage of blood across the state due to coronavirus. Against this backdrop, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of freedom fighter and founder editor of Lokmat Jawaharlalji Darda alias Babuji, Lokmat and Sillod Shiv Sena, Yuvasena jointly organized a blood donation camp in Sillod on Sunday. A record 158 donors donated blood.

Minister of state for revenue and rural development Abdul Sattar inaugurated the camp at the sub-district hospital. Shiv Sena district chief Narendra Trivedi was the chief guest on this occasion. Minister Sattar and deputy chairman Abdul Sameer, Narendra Trivedi were sitting with activists and office bearers throughout the day at the blood donation camp. They worked hard and made efforts to make people donate blood as much as possible. Corporator Sattar Hussain, Former ZP vice president Keshavrao Tayde, chairman Rajshri Nikam, construction chairman Kishore Balande, Dr Machhindra Pakhare, Sena deputy district chief Kishore Agarwal, tehsil chief Devidas Lokhande, city president Raghunath Gharmode, APMC chairman Arjun Gadhe, deputy chairman Nandkishore Sahare, Sudarshan Agarwal, Rajendra Thombre, Medical superintendent Dr Amit Sardesai, corporator Rouf Bagwan, Jitu R K, Jummakha Pathan, Sattar Hussain, Sunil Dudhe, Sheikh Salim Hussain, Haji Mohammed Hanif, Deepali Bhavar, Megha Shah, Yuva Sena city president Shiva Tompe, Kautikrao More, Dr Datta Bhavar, Sheikh Wasim, Sheikh Bablu, Gajanan Kakade, Bapu Patil, Vyapari Mahasangh president Durgesh Jaiswal, Damu Anna Gavhane, Mushtaq Deshmukh, Moin Pathan, Anis Pathan, corporator Raees Pathan, Faim Pathan, Sohail Qadri, Bashir Pathan, Shabbir and Vilas Narwade were present. Blood collection was done by Aurangabad blood bank and MGM blood bank.
