Aurangabad, April 7:

First semester students of undergraduate courses had to face a technical problem on Wednesday on the first day of the online mode examination.

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University started first semester examinations in offline and online mode from today.

The candidates were allotted one hour to solve the paper between 10 am and 1 pm. But, candidates could not log in up to 12.30 pm. Fearing a loss of examination, they reached the college to take the offline paper. However, they were asked that they cannot change the mode.

The examinees called up the examination coordinators whose mobile was engaged continuously.

They succeeded in login into the website at 12.30 pm, however, they had to submit the paper before one hour. Following the request from students, the university gave one more hour (from 1 pm to 2 pm).

Students prefer offline mode of exams

The university conducted examinations of traditional and professional courses examination.

Around 80 per cent has selected offline mode of examination. A total of 1.76 lakh candidates took the paper today. Only 30,488 appeared online while 1.06 lakh opted for the online.
