Aurangabad, May 9:

Two youths gone for fishing met watery grave at the Savangi lake on Sunday at around 4.30 pm. The fire brigade on receiving the information rushed to the spot and took out the bodies of the youths from the lake. A case of accidental deaths have been registered at the Harsul police station. The deceased have been identified as Karan Dashrath Nikam (31) and Nitin Vijay Gaikwad (21), both residents of Fakirwadi in Harsul area.

Both of them had gone for fishing at Savangi lake near Harsul garbage depot. Karan fall in the lake and was drowning and hence Nitin also jumped in the lake to save him but both were drown.

The nearby residents saw them drowning and shouted for help. The Harsul police and the fire brigade also went to the spot. The fire fighters S P Kolhe, Akshay Nagare, Pankaj Bhalekar, Shashikant Gire, Subhash Dudhe took the bodies out from the lake. They were rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the doctors declared them dead after examination.
