Aurangabad, April 6:

Two motorcycle riders snatched away a gold chain of two and a half tolas from an aged woman at Sindhi Colony on Monday afternoon.

According to details, the complainant Pushpa Kalda (64, Sindhi Colony) was carrying vegetables home after purchasing them at Balajinagar.

She was returning home on feet. Two motorcycle born riders passed by her near Kids Kingdom School.

The riders returned from the opposite direction and the pillion rider snatched away from her gold chain of two and a half tolas. She raised the alarm. However, no one came to help as the road wore a deserted look in the afternoon because of the rise in mercury.

She, along with her two sons, reached Jawaharnagar Police Station and lodged a complaint Monday night.

Police personnel reached the spot. After doing panchanama, a case was registered against chain snatchers. Police started the probe into the case. Police inspect Santosh Patil said that the images of the thieves were recorded in Closed Circuit TV cameras.
