Aurangabad, June 13:

After the establishment of the liquid oxygen tank at the District Civil Hospital, an oxygen manufacturing plant is being established here. The plant will have the capacity to produce 205 Jambo cyclinders oxygen daily. Hence, after the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), the DCH will become self-sufficient in the oxygen need to some extent.

The plant will be established at the same area where the liquid oxygen tank is situated presently. A cement basement has been constructed while the work of the shed is under progress. The equipment and articles required for the plant have been received. The daily need of oxygen in the district during the second Corona wave was around 60 tons daily. The scarcity of liquid oxygen was felt on several occasion. Hence, the health machinery has now decided to become self-sufficient in the oxygen requirement.
