Aurangabad, Jan 9: Currently, there are 10 floors buildings in the city, but 23 floors structures will be constructed in future. Comprehensive and Integrated Development Control Regulations (DCR) have been introduced for the entire state except Mumbai which will make this possible. Increased Floor Space Index (FSI) ratio will be available due to these rules and regulations. 70-meter tall means 23 floors buildings can be developed in Aurangabad in the near future.

Skyscrapers will be developed at the place of old buildings changing the face of Aurangabad city. We see skyscrapers in Mumbai and Pune and think there are small buildings in Aurangabad. Presently, there are 10 floors buildings in the city. However, builders are preparing to build 23 floors skyscrapers due to state’s changed regulations. In the layouts, 5% amenity space has been earmarked so more space will be available for construction. Skyscrapers will be developed in the old city by demolishing 60 to 70 years old buildings. Redevelopment will be possible due to the additional FSI. Flat prices will be in control due to the FSI. Building height will be 70 meters. However, to ensure safety, construction plans will not be approved if norms of the National Building Code are not followed.

Fire brigade needs to be strengthened

Municipal corporation fire brigade must have necessary ladder, modern technology and trained staff to battle blaze if there is a fire in 23-floor tall building.
