24-year-old woman commits suicide

Vaijapur, Dec 14:

A 24-year-old married woman committed suicide by jumping into a well on Tuesday at Savkheda (K) in Vaijapur tehsil. The deceased has been identified as Pooja Santosh Divekar.

According to the information, Pooja's husband Santosh Devidas Divekar and mother-in-law had been harassing her for the last three years. She was constantly abused and beaten. Fed up with the constant torture, Pooja committed suicide by jumping into a well of Popat Jadhav in Savkheda Shivar on Tuesday morning. A case has been registered against husband Santosh and mother-in-law Lankabai Divekar at Shiur police station. PSI Yogesh Pawar is further investigating the case.
