The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) declared the result of the State Eligibility Test (SET) on Wednesday night.

The test was conducted on 32 subjects in Maharashtra and Goa on December 27 with six months delay because of COVID 19 lockdown. A total of 61,114 appeared for the test while 4,114 were declared qualified.

The passing percentage is 3.73. The cut-off point in all the subjects has gone down between three and five pc. The cut-off point in Computer Science is 49.33 while in Physics it was 53.33, Journalism and Mass Communication (54.67).

The cut-off of the subjects in the earlier test was mostly above 55 pc. Also, many candidates turned their back toward the test since the recruitment was not during the last eight to nine years.
