Auangabad, May 2:

The judicial magistrate (first class), S S Manjrekar, granted conditional bail to six accused in the black marketing of the Remdesivir injections on the personal bond of Rs 25,000 each.

The city crime branch busted a racket of black marketing of the Remdesivir injections on April 26. Dinesh Kanhu Navgire, Ravi Rohidas Dongre, Sandeep Sukhdev Ragade, Pravin Shivnath Borde, Narendra Murlidhar Sable and Afroz Khan Iqbal Khan were booked by the Begumpura police in this connection. They were remanded in the police custody till May 1.

They were produced before the court today and the court rejected the request of the police for additional custody and remanded the accused in the judicial custody.

Adv Abhaysingh Bhosale, Adv Amit Gaikwad, Adv Praveen Kamble and Adv Ceaser Patel applied for the bail of the accused. They proposed that as the accused have been booked under the essential commodities Act, the article 420 is not liable against them. Hence, the accused can be granted bail.

After the hearing, the court granted conditional bail to the accused on the personal bond of Rs 25,000 each. They will have to be present on every Monday at the Begumpura police station between 11 am and 2 pm, the order mentioned.
