74 processions, 1,518 police deployed for Ambedkar Jayanti

A total of 174 processions, 75 major and 99 minor, will be held across Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Monday to mark Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti. To ensure security, 1,518 police officers and personnel have been deployed.
The main procession will start from Kranti Chowk and pass through Nutan Colony, Sillekhana, Paithan Gate, Tilak Path, Gulmandi, City Chowk, and Juna Bazar before reaching Bhadkal Gate. Other processions from Cantonment, Cidco-Hudco, Mukundwadi, M. Cidco, Jinsi, Osmanpura, and Begumpura will merge with the main route.
In Cidco-Hudco, a separate procession will begin from Ambedkar Chowk and proceed via Parshvanath Chowk, M2, N9, and Jijau Chowk to the TV Centre. Out of the total, 62 processions will start from Kranti Chowk and 14 from Cidco-Hudco. Additionally, 99 small processions will take place in various police station limits.
Tributes at 102 statues
Wreath-laying, image worship, Bhim Geet programs, and food distribution will take place at 102 Ambedkar statues in the city.
Eight Key security points
Fixed police points have been set up at Kranti Chowk, Sillekhana, Barabhai Tajia, Gulmandi Chowk, City Chowk, Shahaganj-Gandhi Statue, Town Hall, and Bhadkal Gate.
SRPF & riot control teams deployed
Three platoons of the State Reserve Police Force have been stationed at 12 locations. Riot control squads are also deployed in two city zones.
Drone surveillance
Six drones will monitor the main procession. Plainclothes police and patrolling teams from each police station will be on duty throughout the day.
