The Pachod police while investigating a murder occurred
eight days back unveiled a murder case occurred around nine years back. More
importantly, both the murders were done due to illicit relationship, the police
said. The Superintendent of police praised and congratulated the Pachod police
for their commendable work.
Ashok Babasaheb Jadhav was murdered by his wife
Ranjana on May 19 as he was proving hurdle in her illicit relationship. Ranjana
contracted her sister Meena Pathade (Karjgaon, Aurangabad) for Rs 2 lakh for
the murder of Ashok. She contracted the contract killed Santosh Pawar for the
murder of Jadhav. The police after investigation arrested Ranjana and her
sister Meena Pathade. They confessed that they had murder Ashok Jadhav through
the contract killer Pawar.
In a shocking revelation, Meena told the police
that she had illicit relations with Santosh Pawar from Badnapur. However, her
husband Mansaram Pathade was proving hurdle in their relations. Hence, she
asked Pawar to kill him. On February 15, 2012, Mansaram had gone for a marriage
ceremony at Kumbhephal. Santosh and his accomplices intoxicated and then
strangulated him. They threw the body in the Chalisgaon’s Mhasoba Ghat. However,
the murder was not cracked at that time, he confessed.
The police action was executive under the
guidance of SP Mokshada Patil by API Ganesh Survase, PSI Suresh Mali, head
constable R B Avhad, Abasaheb Kanse and others.
