Aurangabad, Jan 18:

A total of 90 persons who were vaccinated in the city reported a Novel coronavirus vaccine reaction. As reported earlier, the COVID vaccination campaign was inaugurated on January 16.

The vaccination centres were started at five places in the city- Bansilalnagar, Cidco N-11, N-8, Sadatnagar and Bhimnagar, within the jurisdiction of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

A total of 500 health employees were called while only 352 turned up for the vaccination. Of them, 90 employees who were vaccinated reported reaction to the vaccine from Sunday.

The reaction included fever and body pain. AMC health officer Dr Neeta Padalkar said that 90 vaccinated employees have a mild reaction to the vaccine.

“Reaction is reported after any vaccination. A total of 90 vaccinated members have a reaction like fever and body pain. Their health is stable and was advised to take rest. People should not fear vaccination and cooperate in the task,” she added.
