‘Aapla Davakhana’ provides free healthcare

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The Maharashtra government’s ‘Aapla Davakhana’ initiative offers free healthcare services to underprivileged communities. Nine are currently operational in rural areas, providing treatments like antenatal care, vaccinations, eye check-ups, and mental health counseling. The initiative aims to ensure timely medical care, especially for economically weaker sections.

District health officer Dr Abhay Dhanorkar,mentioned that the clinics are receiving a positive response, though there is a shortage of Class IV employees.
