Aurangabad, Jan 27:

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a forest guard for taking bribe of Rs 1000 from a farmer red-handed at Chincholi Limbaji village in Kannad tehsil on Wednesday. The accused forest guard has been identified as Bhagwan Kautikrao Magar (57, Social Forestry area, Kannad).

According to the details, complainant farmer requested Magar to sanction his bills for saplings and fertilizers for the plantation done under the social forestry scheme. However, Magar demanded Rs 2,000 for it. The complainant was not willing to bribe him and he lodged a complaint at the ACB. A deal was made between Magar and the farmer to pay Rs 1000. Accordingly, a trap was laid at Chincholi Limbaji village and the ACB team arrested magar red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs 1,000.

The action was executed under the guidance of superintendent of police Dr Rahul Khade, additional SP Dr Anita Jamadar, Dy.SP B V Gavande by PI Shubhangi Suryawanshi, Gopal Barandwal, Rajendra Sinkar, Balasaheb Rathod and Changdev Bagul.
