Aurangabad, Oct 14: The Aurangabad Cantonment Board (ACB) on Wednesday removed unauthorized encroachment in several places in the cantonment area. The officials said that the drive will continue for a few more days.

The land in the cantonment area belongs to the army. Hence a permission from the cantonment board is required for doing business in the cantonment. However, in many places. local businessmen have encroached on strategic places. Some had started juice businesses in the summer season with the permission of the council. However, these juice shops were closed due to corona outbreak. Now the lockdown is over. But the juice shop owners did not vacate the space they were allotted. Encroachments on the main road are being removed by the board. However, many have encroached on government land adjacent to houses during the lockdown.
