Aurangabad, Feb 26:

The Vedantnagar police have booked an auto rickshaw driver and an agent for submitting a forged report of the motor vehicle inspector of scrapping the auto-rickshaw completing 20 years period to the Regional Transport Office (RTO). The arrested have been identified as the agent Mirza Akbar Baig (agent, Katkat Gate). The police are searching the rickshaw driver Shaikh Kamroddin Shaikh Ismail (Maqsood Colony).

Vedantnagar police station, PI, Rameshwar Rodge, said, complainant Ravindra Dattatray Narale is a motor vehicle inspector at RTO. As the auto-rickshaw (MH 20 BT 6420) of Kamroddin was old and the officers had given the work of scrapping the auto-rickshaw to the agent Akbar Mirza. Both of them took the rickshaw to RTO at Karodi for scrapping the auto-rickshaw. They told the officers that they will scrap the rickshaw in front of inspector Narale. However, they made a forged report of the inspector Narale with forged signatures and stamps and did not scrap the rickshaw. The incident occurred between December 10, 2020 and February 24, 2021. A case was registered at Vedantnagar police station on Thursday night and the agent was arrested on Friday.
