Aurangabad, Dec 22:

The civic health officials swung into action after learning that seven citizens returned the city after visiting Britain (UK). The municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Neeta Padalkar confirmed, " Nine persons had arrived in Aurangabad. Out of which, seven of them stays in the city. The AMC immediately collected their swabs and conducted necessary tests of them. The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow (Wednesday)."

As reported earlier, a new virus variant is said to have been identified in Britain. According to news reports, the virus spreads rapidly (70 times more than the Coronavirus). As a result, the Maharashtra Government announced night curfew implementation from December 21 midnight till January 5, as a preventive measure.

In this complex situation, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) learned about returning nine residents from Britain. The civic officials contacted the airport officials for details. The civic health officials swung into action and launched a search to find their locations in the city. Of nine persons, seven stays in the city limits, while one person left for Buldhana from the airport, while another one stays in Waluj, it was learnt by AMC.
