AMC detects 56 COVID patients on Friday; RT-PCR test figures toll 725
Aurangabad, Oct 16:
The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 852 antigens and 725 RT-PCR tests (total 1,577 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places in the city and detected 56 Covid-19 patients today.
The health teams conducted 138 antigen tests at the CCCs and found 16 Covid-19 patients. The AMC personnel also held RT-PCR tests of 309 suspects.
Meanwhile, the Special Task Force, by visiting different parts of the city, conducted 658 antigens tests and detected 30 Covid-19 patients, apart from 190 RT-PCR tests on suspects.
According to AMC data, GMCH conducted 42 RT-PCR tests; four RT-PCR tests by District Civil Hospital and 180 by private laboratories. Meanwhile, the private laboratories also conducted 59 antigens tests and detected ten Covid-19 patients (including four from the areas out of the AMC limits), it stated. The AMC will receive the report of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
