Aurangabad, April 30:

The municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Neeta Padalkar today clarified that the vaccination centres will be administering the vaccine to the registered citizens (of age 45 years and above) who had received an SMS alert sent by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), on their mobile phones. The existing centre will administer the vaccine to 100 persons daily till the supply of vaccine is adequate from the Central Government.

It may be noted that the Centre has stopped the supply of vaccine for the above age group of citizens. As a result, around 2 lakh citizens are yet to get the vaccine in the city. Moreover, there is no vaccine to give a second dose to the citizens. Meanwhile, there will be no vaccination on Sunday. The regular vaccination would start from Monday between 2 pm and 5 pm, she said.

Meanwhile, the above age group citizens are also appealed not to visit the vaccination centre for vaccine tomorrow, it is learnt.
