Aurangabad, Jan 25:

The district guardian minister Subhash Desai underlined that the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) could probably witness its general elections in March-April. The decision to convert Cidco properties from leasehold to freehold would be taken before, the implementation of code of conduct for the civic elections, he said while speaking to the editors' group.

When asked that Shiv Sena's veteran leader is seen consistently having a word with Aurangabad's intellectuals, industrialists and journalists, the minister replied," The election is around the corner. The development works in the city were not pushed during the Covid-19 pandemic situation. They are now done on priority. Hence, it is our aim to bring these works to the notice of all."

Desai also hinted that the new faces would be leading Sena in the election. " How long we should remain dependent upon the old leaders. We have to see beyond the regular faces, " he said.

In a question to highlight the functioning and the alliance of Sena with BJP and Congress-NCP, the minister said, " All are the same. What matters is that the power in whose hand. It is now with us. During BJP's regime, the agreements with industries were signed in large scale, but very few (countable) industries came in reality. The investment capacity of the industry was not checked. Now, the industries signing agreement will definitely come." Desai also clarified that it is untrue that Tesla had set up its plant in Bengaluru.

Dominance of Ajit Pawar

When inquired about the dominance of NCP leader Ajit Pawar in the state government, Desai said, " One could see the dominance, but it is not there in reality."
