Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
The Super Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) chairman Radhakishan Pathade alleged that the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) took control of 10 acres of land in Jadhavwadi, belonging to the APMC, for the Smart City Bus Depot without a lease deed. Pathade shared this information with the media on Friday. Meanwhile, a notice has been issued to the municipal corporation, demanding an immediate payment of Rs 34 crore for this land. Furthermore, the CSMC has now reserved for a library on an additional 18 acres of land, on which Super APMC has objected.
Vehicles entering the market committee's premises have no parking space and are being parked wherever space is available. The CSMC has reserved a transport city on the market committee’s land. In reality, a Smart City bus depot is being constructed at this site. The state government had previously reserved the land for commercial use, and to place a new reservation on it, the government’s permission was required. However, Pathade accused that the reservation was changed without proper authorisation. Recently, the CSMC took action by sealing the property for property tax, which has now escalated the dispute.
A total of 43 acres of land reserved
The CSMC has now placed a reservation for a library on 18 acres of land in Survey No. 12 in Jadhavwadi. As a result, the total reserved land has reached 43 acres. Previously, the then commissioner, Nipun Vinayak, had waived off a development fee of Rs. 9.40 crore imposed on the APMC. Besides, the property tax was reduced by Rs 2.5 crore. Chairman Pathade stated that a complaint has been filed with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding this issue.
