Aurangabad, Oct 19:

An art teacher arrived in the city on Sunday after travelling for 150 kilometers on bicycle to create awareness about pollution.

Pandurang Patankar,the teacher from Mahatma Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School of Selu, was welcomed at Cidco Waluj Mahanagar by environment lovers.

He had left Selu on Saturday and reached at Cidco Waluj Mahanagar, at 2 pm, yesterday. Founder chairman of Sahyadri Vruksha Bank Popat Rasal, Janardhan Suryavanshi, Ramakant Tehre, Prakash Kadam, Bhausaheb Chavan and others welcomed Patankar.

President of Aurangabad Cycle Club Dr Vijay Vyayhare, Paraji Jadhav, Hasan Deonikar, Anant Dhavle were also present. Film star Sayaji Shinde communicated with Patankar through video conferencing.

Sahyadri Vruksha Bank staff honoured him with a plant and certificate.

He advised people to use cycle and plant more trees to maintain environment.
