Aurangabad, Feb 23:

The new chief executive officer (CEO) of Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ASCDCL), Babasaheb Manohare, has underlined that an investigation would be done to check whether the digital displays reading Love Aurangabad, Love Khadki, Super Sambhajinagar etc. were displayed by the ASCDCL with the permission of the board of directors (BoD) or not?

Manohare took charge after 21 days on Monday. After assuming the office, he started to work immediately. He obtained the details about the ongoing works (and fund allocated to them), reviewed their status, and inspected them. While speaking to the media persons, the CEO said, " ASCDCL is indeed a private entity, but all the government norms apply to it."

When he was asked about the controversial displays put on by the ASCDCL in the city, Manohare said," I do not know the details. However, the office would check whether the digital boards were displayed with the permission of BoD or not. If anybody is found guilty, the action would also be taken against them."

Meeting with guardian minister in Mumbai

As reported earlier, the guardian minister had orally stayed the transfer of CEO. However, setting aside the oral order, Manohare joined the ASCDCL office on Monday. The new CEO said that he would soon be going to meet the guardian minister Subhash Desai in Mumbai.
