Aurangabad, May 17:

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has asked all the aspirants of various diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses to keep their required certificates ready for the upcoming admission process for the academic year 2021-22.

The DTE issued a circular recently stating that the centralised admission process to different courses- first year and direct second-year post-SSC polytechnic, post-HSC diploma, first-year and director second UG (Engineering, Pharmacy, Hotel Management and Catering Technology), B-Planning, B-Architecture M E, M Tech, M Pharm, M-Planning, MBA and MCA- will be implemented soon.

Students need a caste and tribe certificate, validity certificate, non-creamy layer, domicile, income, a person with a disability, economic weaker section and minority certificates for the admission purpose.

Every year, thousands of students had to be in a queue to get the required certificates on time because of the huge rush of aspirants. This put a burden on the certificate-issuing authority, and it delays the process. Sometimes students had to give up the claim of admission seat because of delay in getting the certificate. The certificate must be attested by the competent authority, otherwise, candidates will lose the claim of the seat.

Director of technical education Dr Abhay Wagh urged the students to obtain a certificate to avoid delay at the last minute.
