Aurangabad, May 8:
An attempt to break the Axis Bank ATM Machine at Cidco Waluj Mahanagar on Saturday morning was foiled. However, an accused has been captured in the CCTV camera of the ATM Centre. The amount in the ATM machine is safe, the sources said.
An Axis Bank ATM Centre is situated at Cidco Waluj Mahanagar – 1. On Saturday at around 1 pm, a thief wearing black T-shirt and blue pant of around 25 years old entered into the ATM Centre. Initially, he break the cameras with a hammer and then broke the screen and key-lock of the machine. Later, he tried to break the machine but did not succeed.
After receiving the information the manager of the Hitachi Payment Services Ltd, James Philips contacted the financial advisor of the company Adv Shaikh Gufran Ahmed Shaikh Kashif (Aurangabad) and informed him about the incident. Adv Gufran then went to the centre and found that the amount in the machine was safe but the cameras were broken. He then inspected the CCTV and found that the thief was captured in it. He immediately informed about it to the Waluj MIDC police station. A case against an unidentified thief has been registered while API Gautam Wavale is further investigating the case.
