In a shocking incident, an AYUSH doctor tried to rape a COVID-19 positive woman on Tuesday at the municipal corporation's Corona treatment centre in Padampura, Aurangabad.

After knowing about the incident, angry relatives of the patient rushed to the hospital and thrashed the doctor. The matter should be investigated and a report regarding it be submitted by Thursday morning, ordered municipal administrator Astik Pandey.

The victim who was admitted to the Corona treatment centre at Padampura two days ago said the AYUSH doctor took her phone number and was constantly calling on her mobile.

The doctor tried to rape the woman at 2 am on Tuesday. He tried to take her to the terrace, that's when the woman shouted in protest. As the woman shouted the staff of the Covid Care Centre were alerted and ran towards the victim. The staff saw the victim crying in the hospital. The incident was immediately reported to the relatives. The victim's relatives rushed to the doctor and thrashed him 

Dr Ujwala Bhamre, Health Medical Officer and Nita Padalkar refrained from speaking on this subject. However, no complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard.
