Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A total 16 subjects were discussed in the Mangement Council meeting of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwaa Univeristy (Bamu) organised on Wednesday. Vice chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari chaired the meeting. Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar along with 18 members were present for the meeting which organised from 11.3am to 1.30 pm.
Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar informed that a total 16 subjects came up for the discussions in the meeting. There were nine subjects on the agenda while seven were present at the elevanth hour.
Some of the proposals approved in the meeting are as follows;
--The proposal of schedule of public holidays for the year 2025 was was approved in the meeting.As per the State Government's gazette, there will be 24 public holidays.
--It was decided to start a 'Student Facilitation Center' on the campus in front of the main building for the educational materials, stationery, Xerox, for the students
--Approval was given to organise the 65th convocation ceremony to confer the degrees to the graduates who passed the various examinations of October/November 2023 and March April 2024.
-- Four coordinators were nominated, one from each district under the jurisdiction of the university, for the cultural programmes of the Student Welfare Department. They are
Sambhaji Darade (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), Sudhakar Shelke (Jalna), Samadhan Ingle (Beed), Sandeep Deshmukh (Dharashiv).
--Approval was given to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Maharashtra Kaushalya Vidyalaya, Mumbai, for starting skill-oriented courses.
