Barring 561, all cleared SSC in district

Aurangabad, July 16:

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education (MSBSHE) has declared the Secondary School Examination (SSC) results on Friday. Barring 561, in all, 65,154 (99.14%) students in the district, whose valuations were sent to the board by the schools, have cleared the examination. The schools have not sent valuations of 25 students. The results of the remaining students will be declared after fulfilling the discrepancies, informed the divisional secretary Sugata Punne.

In all, 65,740 students applied for the examination from 904 schools in the district. Of which, the valuations of 65,715 students were received from the schools to the board. These included 62,904 regular and 2,250 were repeaters.

In the Aurangabad division, the maximum number of students were from the Aurangabad district and stood first in the division in the results of the regular students. However, in the results of the repeaters, the district is lagging behind the other districts. Moreover, 33,116 students stood in distinction, 26,828 in first class, and 78 students just passed. In all, 35,035 boys and 27,879 girls have passed, and the passing percentage of both the groups is 99.97 percent.

Students, teachers disappointed due to technical snag

The board has announced that the SSC results will be declared online on Friday from 1 pm onwards. The students and teachers started surfing the website, but most of them could not see the results online due to the technical snag. The students and parents were calling the teachers on phones inquiring about the results. Most of them could not see the results till 5.30 pm. Divisional secretary Punne said that there is a technical snag in the website, but it will be regularized soon.
