Aurangabad, May 12:

Members of Dawoodi Bohra Community in the city celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday with simplicity amid COVID 19 situation.

The spiritual heads of the community had instructed the members to follow all Government guidelines to contain the spread of the virus. All the Masjids of the community were closed in COVID situation.

Bohra brethren offered Eid prayer at home and celebrated the festival by maintaining pandemic guidelines. Sermons were delivered online. The meal was supplied to all the followers through their community kitchen.

A vaccination drive was carried out to create awareness about the pandemic virus. A total of 78 members were vaccinated on Eid.

Ameel Sahab Shaikh Mansoorbhai and secretary of Bohra Jamaat Committee Shaikh Mukarram Baghwala said that Eid was celebrated with simplicity by following all measures. Public relations officer Ajju Petiwala said that 78 members of the community took the vaccine on Eid.
