Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Several candidates in the district’s elections were unable to vote in the constituencies they were contesting. Despite running in one constituency, they were registered in another. This issue affected candidates from the BJP, AIMIM, NCP, Uddhav Sena, and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi.

Atul Save, BJP candidate from the East constituency, along with his family, voted at the Khadkeswar polling station but was unable to vote in his own constituency. Raju Shinde, contesting from the West constituency, had to vote at the Masantpur polling station, though he was standing for elections in the West constituency. Satish Chavan, NCP candidate from Gangapur constituency, voted at the Jawahar Colony polling station but contested the elections in Gangapur. Imtiaz Jaleel, an AIMIM candidate from the East constituency, voted in the Central constituency, as did Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’s candidate, Afsar Khan, who also voted in the Central constituency.
