Aurangabad, Jan 19:

Environment minister Aditya Thackeray has announced the setting up of a Co-Government Organization (CGO) for the development of the city. The municipal corporation has started this process at a fast pace. The CGO will be set up in five different phases. The work of getting consensus will be completed by February 28. Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey said that suggestions would be invited from citizens about the development in the city.

The administrator said that the government has started paying attention to the development of cities. The water issue in the city is being resolved. The waste problem has been solved and Rs 252 crore were sanctioned for road work. Some more roads will be repaired with municipal and government funds. Pandey also mentioned the need to create awareness among the citizens. A project should be brought to give a big impetus to the progress of the city. There is a different concept behind setting up a CGO. Experts from different fields will work together. The committee will have experts from 15 different sectors. The CGO will be set up with the resolution of the general body meeting. He expressed hope that the process would be completed by February 28. Prior to that, suggestions will be invited from the citizens.
