Aurangabad, June 10:

After 12 years the Chikalthana International Airport received a water connection. As the municipal administration showed its inability to supply water, the airport authority had requested the MIDC for water supply. A Jal Pujan program was held in the ATS complex area on Thursday with great enthusiasm.

On the occasion, the airport director, D G Salve, assistant manager Sudhir Jagdale, MIDC executive engineer Bhushan Harshe, retired deputy engineer Dilip Parlikar, deputy engineer Ganesh Moikar, assistant engineer Prashant Sarg, V A Bansode, Nikhil Kulkarni were present. Sarg and Bansode were felicitated for their special efforts for starting water supply. The MIDC has agreed to provide a connection of 100 mm diameter waterline for the airport. With this, 1.7 lakh liters of water will be supplied to the airport daily, said airport director D G Salve.
