Desai was interacting with the media persons through video-conferencing at the AMC office in the afternoon. The press conference was organised by the civic chief A K Pandey. Desai briefed upon the development works completed by the state government and the AMC and also stressed how it helped in shining in the Ease of Living Index issued by the central government on Thursday.

In reply to a question regarding erratic water supply, Desai said, " The state government had approved the new water supply scheme, and its work had also been started. It will take three years to complete the project. Till then, the state government and the AMC would take care that the citizens do not face the shortage of water in the city. The AMC will soon conduct a meeting to increase lifting water from the Jayakwadi Dam and supply it to the city.
