Aurangabad, June 14:

Various city NGOs today submitted their memorandums to the chief minister demanding to grant five percent reservations to the Muslim community in jobs and education. The memorandums were submitted through the divisional commissioner by the Muslim Arakshan Kruti Samiti (MAKS) and Maharashtra Janjagran Samiti (MJS).

The demands include reservation in jobs and education for the upliftment of the community and to bring them to the mainstream. The MAKS also demanded to extend the limit of loan up to Rs 25 lakh through Maulana Azad Finance Development Corporation (MSFDC), construction of hostels for students in each district, etc. The delegation comprises of Adv Abhay Taksal, Syed Azeem, Feroz Khan, K A Pathan, Shaikh Wahed, Shaikh Anis, and Abdul Mohib.

Meanwhile, the MJS through a memorandum threatened of launching an agitation in a democratic way from July 1, if the decision on the reservation is not finalised on priority. MJS president Mohsin Ahmed, Charansingh Gulati, Fazallullah Khan, Shaikh Munaf, Mirza Alim Baig, V V Deshmukh, Mohd. Zakiroddin, Azra Jabeen, Ejaz Zaidi, Najad Quadri, Nisar Khan, Ajmal Khan, Salma Bano, Mohsina Bilquis, Mujahed Khan, and others were in the delegation.
