Cold spell continues, minimum temperature at 9.2°C

Aurangabad, Dec 22:

The minimum temperature in the city fell for the second day in a row on Tuesday leaving citizens shivering throughout the day. The Chikalthana observatory recorded a temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius.

The city recorded a low of 9.5°C on Monday. Severe cold has impacted the movement of citizens as people are avoiding stepping out of the house early morning and after sunset. As the temperature remains cold throughout the day, warm clothes like sweaters, jackets and mufflers are being worn all day long. The minimum temperature dropped on Tuesday for the second day in a row in the city. This was the lowest temperature recorded this winter. According to meteorologists, the cold will continue to increase day by day. By the end of December, the temperature is expected to drop to 7 to 6°C. Citizens who had not yet bought warm clothes are flocking to the market due to the growing cold. In addition, making nutritious laddus for winter has almost started. Crowds of citizens are seen shopping for dry fruits and other essential items.

Lowest temperature

The city recorded a low of 9.2°C on December 30, 2017. After 3 years, the same temperature was recorded on Tuesday.
