Congress pays tributes to Rajiv Gandhi

The City and District Congress today paid tributes to the former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, on his 80th birth anniversary. The party workers gathered in the morning near Rajiv Gandhi's statue in front of the Divisional Commissioner's office to pay their respects. They chanted slogans of "Rajiv Gandhi Zindabad" (Long live Rajiv Gandhi) on the occasion.

Several key figures including the City President (Mahila Congress) Dipali Misal; General Secretary of State Congress Dr. Jitendra Dehade; Ibrahim Pathan; Advocate Syed Akram; Anis Patel; Jagannath Kale; Dr. Arun Shirsat; Kaiser Azad; Sahebrao Bankar; Shaikh Kaiser Baba; Jafar Khan; Saroj Jacob; Chandrakant Jojare; Chandrakant Bansode; Rahul Sawant; Salim Khan; Suhasini Ghorpade; Ashok Gahilot; Sajid Shaikh; Pappu Thubey; Sanjay Jadhav; Minaj Shabbir Shaikh; Riyaz Patel and others were present on the occasion.

Tribute at Vitthalnagar

The Congress members also paid to the former prime minister in Vitthalnagar. Under the leadership of City District Youth Congress President Sagar Nagare, a free computer training camp was offered to needy students. The camp was inaugurated by Mahesh Gaikwad, with Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress Secretary Ajay Didore Patil attending as the chief guest. The camp will run for a month. To ensure the camp's success, efforts were made by Hrishikesh Khandagale, Vishal Dhage, Roshan Kharat, Vishal Abhang, and Dheeraj Thorat. The camp was organised by Anurag Dabhade and Sanket Salve.
