Aurangabad, Jan 30:

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) lodged a complaint against a police constable of the Karmad police station and his accomplice Ape-rickshaw driver for demanding Rs 7,000 bribe for helping the complainant in domestic violence case. The police constable has been identified as Siraj Iqbal Pathan and the Ape-rickshaw driver as Yuvraj Natha Muley.

The complainant’s wife had lodge a complaint against him of domestic violence at the Karmad police station. Constable Pathan and the driver Muley demanded Rs 7,000 from the complainant to help him in the case. However, he was not willing to pay the bribe and hence he lodged a complaint at the ACB. The ACB officers had laid a trap to nab the constable and the driver red-handed. However, as they were suspicious, they did not accepted the bribe. Hence, the ACB lodged a complaint against them.
