Aurangabad, April 29:

COVID warriors-doctors, nurses and health workers of the district have been working day and night to serve parents are facing financial problem as their March month salary was not released yet.

The situation is not different in other districts of Marathwada.

The Government did not release the salary of employees from District Civil Hospital, sub-District Hospitals, Rural Hospitals, Primary Health Centre, deputy director of health office yet.

The employees' unions are pursuing the matter time and again, but they received only a reply that the salary budget would be released soon. The staff got less salary of the deduction for Income Tax while March month salary was not paid till today.

Some doctors said that there is a misconception that it does not matter even if a Government doctor's salary is delayed for one or two months.

But, the doctors are facing a financial problem and some of them have not paid loan installment.

Dr Sandeep Kale, the president of Maharashtra State Gazetted Medical Officers Union, said that they held talks with seniors and health department staff members would get their salary within two or three days.

He said that employees are facing economic problems. March month salary was not released even though April month ends tomorrow. The same situation is prevalent in the region. Deputy director Dr Swapnil Lale said that this the first month of the new financial year and salary is a State issue and would be released in the next few days.
