CSMC removes 11 encroachments from Mitmita

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A spacious zoo is being constructed on a 100-acre site in the Mitmita area. The municipal corporation administration has allocated adjacent land for a school, and on Friday, 11 encroachments on this land were removed.

The municipal school in Mitmita was facing a shortage of space. Two acres of land remained within the zoo's vicinity, which has now been designated for the school. Eleven individuals had constructed houses on this land through encroachment. On Friday, the team demolished these 11 structures, which included both temporary and permanent structures.

Some individuals protested during the demolition, but they were persuaded to allow the action to proceed, said additional commissioner Santosh Wahule. The action was carried out by a team led by Deputy Commissioner Savita Sonawane, designated officer Sanjay Suradkar, and building inspectors Mazhar Ali and Sagar Shreshtha.
