Aurangabad, June 23:

A customer was booked with Cidco Police Station recently for cheating a hotelier for Rs 7.41 lakh. According to details, the customer Vishwajit Dutta Shivshankar Dutta, along with a woman, took a room for rent in a hotel at N-5 Cidco on June 16, 2020.Vishwajit Dutta avoided paying the rent of the room for one or another reason.

He decided to check out the hotel on June 3, 2021, but he was asked to pay pending rent of Rs 7.41 lakh.

He issued cheques to the complainant Dnyaneshwar Sadashiv Puri (hotel employee) and hotel owner (name not disclosed) to clear the bills.

All the cheques were bounced when deposited in the bank due to insufficient balance in the customer’s account. Dnyaneshwar Puri lodged a complaint with Cidco Police Station. A case was registered against them, Police constable Chavan is on the case.
