Aurangabad, July 17:

Movement for Peace and Justice for Welfare (MPJW) demanded establishing blood storage at Government Cancer Hospital (GCH).

In a memorandum submitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) dean Dr Kanan Yelikar, the MJPW office-bearers stated that GCH, which has all modern facilities, is the only hospital in Marathwada.

“Besides Marathwada, patients also come to the GCH from Vidarbha. The patients' relatives had to visit the divisional blood bank of GMCH to bring a blood bag. This causes inconvenience to the relatives. Hospital employees take money from poor patients to deliver the blood bag. The Cancer Hospital should have its own blood storage. The hospital administration has no control over it,” they said. MPJW president Adil Madni, Ajaj Kahn, Zafar Pathan
