Deshmukh felicitates 40 women beat officers

Aurangabad, Jan 29:

For the first time, 40 women from Aurangabad rural police department have been given the responsibility of beat officer. The state home minister Anil Deshmukh on Friday said that the team of women beat officers be named as 'Pink Squad' and also the motorcycles given to them be pink in colour.

A review meeting and felicitation ceremony was organized by the office of the superintendent of police on Friday evening. For the first time in rural police department, 40 women police were appointed as beat officer. They were felicitated by home minister Anil Deshmukh. Speaking on the occasion, Deshmukh said that beat officer is an executive job given to women and is an important responsibility. We believe that this responsibility will be fulfilled successfully. District collector Sunil Chavan, Special inspector general of police Nisar Tamboli (Nanded), MLC Vikram Kale, MLA Amol Mitkari were present.

SP Mokshada Patil felicitated

Deshmukh felicitated superintendent of police Mokshada Patil, who was honoured with the 'Covid Woman Warriors' award by the national commission for women.
