Develop Leadership and Decision-Making Skills; Mistakes Are the Best Teachers; Women draw newfound confidence from mindfulness coach Ruchira Darda’s seminar
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
“Will people judge me? Am I doing the right thing? Sometimes, I even doubt my own abilities. My work doesn’t reach people. I feel emotionally disturbed. How do I balance home and family?” These were just some of the many questions raised by women at a seminar conducted by renowned mindfulness coach and motivational speaker Ruchira Darda here on Sunday.
Ruchira Darda began the seminar by asking powerful questions: “Why is leadership always associated with men? Why don’t we make the most of opportunities when they come our way? Why do we look to our husbands before making any major decision?” She stressed that every woman possesses the ability to make decisions, and in moments of crisis, she must calmly expand her thinking and take the call. “First and foremost, every woman must become her own biggest cheerleader,” she said.
Facing Difficulty While Making Decisions
The seminar saw participation from women across diverse fields—doctors, professionals, teachers, HR executives, and students. They asked questions related to handling challenges at the workplace, strengthening emotional resilience, boosting self-confidence, and overcoming hesitation in making their own decisions.
Ruchira Darda attentively listened to each question and noted them on a whiteboard. Each topic was discussed openly, and the answers to one woman’s concern often resonated with others in the room.
Every Task Taken Up Was a Success
Ruchira shared her personal journey: “Eighteen years ago, I left Mumbai and came to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. I decided to carve out a distinct identity for myself in this city. People told me, ‘This won’t work here,’ but I resolved to prove them wrong—and I did. Whether it was the WOW Foundation, the Yellow Door initiative, or the MahaMarathon, every project I took up was a success. My family’s support was invaluable. Had I worried about what people would say, I wouldn’t have come this far. People cannot decide the course of your life.”
Let the Question ‘Who Am I?’ Arise
She went on to say, “It’s natural to make mistakes while doing anything. Mistakes are an opportunity to learn. No one is perfect, nor should one strive for perfection. It’s through your mistakes that you truly learn. I had to discover my own identity, and that’s when the question ‘Who am I?’ arose in me. This is a question every one of you must ask yourselves.”
