Aurangabad, May 19:

With the collective work of all machinery, the district is out of the danger zone of COVID.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray took a review of the pandemic situation of the district with the administration on Wednesday evening through video conferencing.

District collector Sunil Chavan said COVID situation is under control because of ‘Team Aurangabad.’ The CM took all information about the district.

Sunil Chavan said that good work was done in Aurangabad to contain the spread of pandemic compared to other districts and this will help in relaxing lockdown norms in the coming days.

“Citizens need to follow all lockdown norms in the current situation. The machinery of Zilla Parishad, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and Revenu, and the Health Department worked on the frontline. Because of this, the situation is under control,” he said.

All the machineries worked to reduce the number of patients, death and tests ratio, making available health facilities.

People followed the COVID norms implemented by the Government. This will help in relaxing norms and bringing the situation to normalcy. The district administration has started preparations for the distribution of ‘Amphotericin B’ to a private hospital for treatment of rare infection 'mucormycosis' (also called black fungus). Some injections were provided today to CIIGMA Hospital.

The district collector said that the distribution would be done with transparency and no patient will experience inconvenience. The CM also gave guidelines for the distribution of the injection.

“The district administration will have complete control on the distribution. One patient needs three injections daily. The hospitals will be provided as per their demand. Private hospitals will have to purchase the injections by paying charge in District Civil Hospital. Private hospitals can collect the same amount from patient. The price of the injection will be as per the Government norms. No free injection will be given,” he added.
