Aurangabad, Feb 10:

Divisional Commissioner Sunil Kendrekar took the Corona vaccine at the District Civil Hospital (DCH) here on Wednesday. After taking the vaccine he appealed the people that the vaccine is completely safe and everyone should take it.

Kendrekar like the other ordinary people, took the vaccine after registering his name for the vaccine. District civil surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni, AMC chief health officer Dr Neeta Padalkar, additional civil surgeon Dr Kamlakar Mudkhedkar, nodal officer Dr Vijaya Sonawane and others were present.

Kendrekar said, I personally took the vaccine as it is safe and everyone should take it as it is for their own safety. The frontline workers should register and take the vaccine. There are several misconceptions in the society about the vaccine. Hence, I personally took the vaccine, he said.

The vaccine will be available to the common people after the vaccination of the health workers, government officer and employees. Initially, the senior citizen and those who are essentially in need of it will be given preference and I am confident that everyone will take the vaccine, Kendrekar mentioned.
