Aurangabad, Jan 5: The much-awaited virtual ‘Annual Sports Day'' of Dnyanada English School, which was the unique idea of Anita Shidhaye, was held recently. Due to Covid-19 epidemic, this time Sports Day was celebrated online. Principal Nayantara Nair welcomed the online gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in child''s life. The programme started with melodious welcome song, guest introduction, oath, suryanamskar and ended with national anthem.

Students of classes Montessori to 5th standard competed in events including scoop and ball, throwing balls, bounce jumping, dribbling, book balancing, skipping and sit-up races. Chief guest Sarthak Nalawade, the famous badminton player of Aurangabad, graced the event. Secretary N K Joshi, co-ordinator Anita Shidhaye, principal of DES (CBSE, Pokhari) Mamta Jaiswal, and guests highly admired the efforts taken by teachers, students and parents.
