Retired Assistant Health Director and a resident of Pananlalnagar Dr Arjun Sitaram Gaikwad (82) died on Sunday afternoon. He has worked as health officer at Jalna and Bhandara and assistant director at Pune and Aurangabad. He was student of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) of MBBS 1963 batch. The last rites were performed on him at Ramanagar Crematorium. He is survived by wife Shakuntala, sons associate professor of microbiology department at GMCH Dr Anil Gaikwad, anesthetist Dr Vinod Gaikwad and daughter Dr Sunanda Gaikwad, medical officer at Nagar. He is father-in-law of nodal officer of RTPCR Lab at the District Civil Hospital (DCH) Dr Archana Tribhuvan.
